Our approach

Every job starts with a measured, itemised quote that separates materials from labour and gives you a start date and a duration. Extensions and new structures are built from approved plans, with NHBRC enrolment and council inspections handled along the way.

WhatsApp a few photos of the area and we will tell you whether we can quote from them or need to come out and measure.

How we work
  1. Tell us what you have in mind WhatsApp a few photos and a rough idea of the area or the job. We will say whether it needs a site visit or can be quoted from what you send.
  2. Measured quote We measure on site and give you an itemised quote that separates materials from labour, with the time it will take.
  3. The work, done properly Proper sub-base and compaction under paving, cured foundations under walls, and the site kept tidy while we are there.
  4. Handover and paperwork A final walk-through with you, rubble removed, and NHBRC enrolment or council plans handled where the job requires them.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need council plans for an extension?

Yes. Any new room, garage or structural change needs plans approved by your municipality before building starts. Minor work such as paving, a boundary wall under the local height limit, or an internal renovation that does not touch structure usually does not.

What is the NHBRC and why does it matter?

The National Home Builders Registration Council registers home builders and enrols new homes and structural additions so the owner is protected against major structural defects. Building a new home with an unregistered builder is illegal and can void your bond.

How is paving priced?

Per square metre, based on the paver you choose, the sub-base needed and the access to the site. The preparation is most of the work: a paved area that is not compacted properly will sink and puddle within a season.

How long does a driveway take?

A typical double driveway takes three to five working days including excavation, base preparation, laying and jointing. Rain and hard ground add time; we tell you before we start.

Can you build a boundary wall on the boundary line?

Only with your neighbour's agreement and, above a certain height, council approval. We measure from the pegs or the surveyor's diagram, never from a fence line, so the wall goes where it should.

Do you remove rubble?

Yes. Rubble removal and a clean site at the end are part of the quote. If you want to keep any materials, say so before we start.
